Drawing and Painting Class

Drawing & Painting Class--student will learn to sketch the image on a paper or canvas.  Paper image will be transferred to the canvas.  Student will learn to paint the image using acrylic or watercolor paints.

Drawing Techniques Class--Student will    learn to build a 3-D form using pencil on     a drawing paper. Advanced students will learn to use pastels, charcoals or color pencils.

Sculpture Class

Sculpture Class

Sculpture Class--This course offers instruction in modeling human form for students at all levels. The class takes an in-depth look at the portrait and the human figure. For students who choose to work on portraits, Mira will introduce facial plane structure, and the proportion and anatomy of portraiture. Under her instruction, students will learn how to form a head, and develop the features of the face.

For human figures, students will sculpt 12”, 18”, or 26" standing or seated figures. Mira will provide demonstrations and individual instruction, references to anatomy and proportion, illustrations from classical text, and composition of the figure, as the students work from a model.

Personal creativity and expression are encouraged and welcomed.

Sculpture Class

Bring your own clear vase or clear glass, Clear ornaments are available at the school. Using picture references, students paint the pictures on the glass using glass paints.

Pumpkin Painting

Bring your own pumpkin or buy it from the school.  Using picture references draw and paint on the pumkin. All levels welcome. Individual instructions always available.

The school can accommodate about 20 students. B'Day party usually last about 2 hours. During the first hour to 1.5 hour, the students will paint. Everyone is painting using the same references. Parents are providing food and drinks, plates, cups, etc.
